![]() ![]() I had been meaning to play Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen ever since it came out on Switch. On the other hand, a strider can deal damage from afar with their bow. Mages, for example can boost your equipment to deal additional damage to enemies, or they can heal you when you’re low on health. Companions will be extremely important when fighting huge monsters such as Cyclops, Ogres, and many more. The game teaches from early on that you need a balanced party in order to succeed in this game, and I can assure you, 10 hours into the game, that this is very true. These companions learn from the players that created them, and will act accordingly. The cool thing about this companion system is that you get your own Pawn to customize as you see fit, and you can create a party with other player created Pawns. A pawn’s task is to assist the Arisen in their tasks. To accomplish your task, you will be followed by humanoid characters called Pawns. Your goal is to fight this dragon and recover your heart once again. Your character is the Arisen, a human whose heart has been stolen by a dragon.
